Frequently Asked Questions
General Information
DeOxer is a revolutionary social platform that prioritizes content quality over identity status. It features dynamic anonymity management, location-based messaging (EchOx), and a unique user lifecycle system (DeOx Age). Unlike traditional social platforms, DeOxer allows users to post content anonymously initially, which can later be revealed and associated with their identity based on content quality and engagement.
DeOxer is currently in active development and is not yet available for public use. You can sign up on our homepage to receive updates about our launch timeline and be notified when the app becomes available on iOS, Android, and web platforms.
DeOxer differentiates itself from other social platforms in several key ways:
- Dynamic Anonymity: Users can post content anonymously, which is later revealed based on quality metrics rather than popularity or follower count.
- DeOx Age System: A unique user lifecycle that simulates digital aging, encouraging regular activity and quality contributions.
- EchOx Location Messaging: Location-anchored messages that can only be discovered when users enter a specific geographic area.
- CPR System: Users can help others by transferring years from their DeOx Age to users in need, creating a supportive community ecosystem.
- Content-First Approach: Content quality determines visibility, not user status or follower count.
DeOxer will offer a free tier with core features available to all users. We may introduce premium features or subscription options in the future, but our goal is to keep the main platform accessible to everyone. Any premium features will be clearly marked and optional.
Dynamic Anonymity
When you post content on DeOxer, it initially appears with a random Anox username (e.g., Anox_4281) and a blurred profile picture. As your content receives likes, comments, and shares, it progresses toward a revealing threshold. This threshold is calculated based on the formula:
Required Threshold = Threshold Coefficient × (User DeOx Age ÷ 100)
Once your content reaches this threshold, your real username and profile picture are revealed and associated with the content. This system ensures that content is judged on its own merits rather than on the creator's identity or status.
Yes, DeOxer offers an "Anoxed Forever" option when creating content. If you select this option, your content will never reveal your identity, regardless of how many interactions it receives. This feature is useful for sharing sensitive but acceptable content that you don't want permanently associated with your profile.
Yes, DeOxer has an age-dependent follower threshold system for automatic content revealing:
- For users aged 18, a follower count of 100,000 triggers immediate reveal
- For users aged 59, the threshold is 500,000 followers
- For users aged 90, it is 1,000,000 followers
- For users above 90, automatic reveal does not apply — standard interaction thresholds must be met
For ages between 18 and 90, the required follower count increases linearly according to this formula:
Immediate Reveal Follower Threshold = 100,000 + ((User Age - 18) × 15,517)
This system ensures a fair playing field while still recognizing established community members.
Regardless of anonymity status, all users remain responsible for their content. Content that violates our Community Guidelines can be traced back to the user account that created it.
DeOx Age System
DeOx Age is a unique digital lifecycle system that simulates aging for user accounts. All accounts start at age 30 and age naturally at a rate of 0.2 years per day. Your DeOx Age influences various aspects of your account, including the revealing threshold for your content.
To maintain a healthy DeOx Age, users must stay active by creating content, interacting with others, getting their content revealed, and logging in daily. Each of these activities earns rejuvenation points that keep your account "young."
When your DeOx Age reaches 100 years, your account enters "Intensive Care" mode with limited functionality. If your account remains in Intensive Care for 180 days without sufficient rejuvenation or receiving CPR from other users, it will be deemed "deceased."
When an account is deceased:
- Your username becomes available in a modified format (Rip_username_serial)
- Your revealed content moves to the "Cemetery" section, where it remains accessible to other users
- You cannot log in or interact with the platform until you create a new account
The CPR system allows users to help other accounts by transferring 1-50 years from their own DeOx Age to accounts that are in Intensive Care (over 100 years old). This feature creates a supportive community where active users can help keep valuable content creators alive.
Key aspects of the CPR system include:
- Each user can perform up to 2 CPR actions per day
- Users over age 90 cannot perform CPR to maintain ecosystem balance
- CPR donors receive "saved users" statistics on their profile
- Donors also receive a small rejuvenation benefit (0.02 × years) for each CPR action
EchOx Location Features
EchOx is DeOxer's location-based messaging feature that allows you to anchor text messages to specific geographic locations. These messages are only discovered when other users enter your defined area (within 100 meters), creating a unique way to connect digital content with physical spaces.
EchOx offers flexible sharing options. You can set your location-based messages as:
- Private: Only visible to you
- Followers: Visible only to users who follow you
- Specific Users: Visible only to selected users
- Public: Visible to all DeOxer users
You can also set time parameters for your messages, including start date, end date, and recurring schedules.
No, EchOx only accesses your location when you actively use the feature. Location data is collected only when:
- You explicitly create a location-based message
- You open the EchOx discovery map to browse nearby messages
You can control location permissions in your device settings, and DeOxer will always request permission before accessing your location. For more information on how we handle location data, please see our Privacy Policy.
